Every journey begins with a direction. Sometimes it is marked on a map, sometimes by a compass, and sometimes by the people walking beside you.
This journey across Lesbos was different. It was shared by two best friends: one exploring the island through sight, the other through touch, sound, trust, and the guidance of a friend. Together, they discovered quiet villages, historic streets, breathtaking viewpoints, and countless moments that proved adventure is not defined by what you can see, but by what you dare to experience.
The small compass became a symbol of that journey. It pointed the way through winding streets, mountain villages, and hidden corners of the island. But somewhere along the route, it disappeared. Despite searching, it was never found again.
Strangely, losing the compass did not mean losing the way.
The greatest guide on this trip was never a piece of metal pointing north. It was friendship, communication, and the confidence to explore together. Every step was built on trust, every discovery was shared, and every challenge became another memory.
Perhaps the compass is still somewhere on Lesbos, waiting for another traveller to find it. Or perhaps it has already fulfilled its purpose—reminding us that the most meaningful journeys are guided not by a needle, but by the people beside us.
Because sometimes, when you travel with trust, you never really lose your direction.
