I stayed eight days in Petra, Lesbos, in a small paradise called Villa Vicky, Petra. What a peaceful and beautiful place. Every morning, I woke up to the sound of birds and a view of the sea. The days started slowly, without any rush.

During my walks through the village, one thing stood out to me the most: cats. Everywhere. On walls, stairs, windowsills. They were relaxing in the sun or watching me with curiosity. I took so many photos of them—each one seemed to have its own personality.

One of the highlights was my visit to the church of Panagia Glykofilousa, sitting on top of the large rock in the center of the village. The climb of 114 steps led me to a place with a stunning view over the village, the beach, and the sea.

All around Petra, I saw flowers. The village feels calm, friendly, and truly Greek.

In the evenings, I walked to a restaurant or a small snack place, camera in hand, to capture the sunset. The sky turned shades of pink, orange, and gold. Everything became quiet. Just the sound of the waves… and a few cats looking for food.

Petra has stolen my heart. It’s a place where life slows down, where beauty is found in the small details—and where every corner holds a new image waiting to be captured. 🌿📸
