Yesterday, I attended the MantelzorgNL Members’ Day in Ede-Wageningen. It was an inspiring day filled with meaningful connections, knowledge sharing, and valuable workshops.

One of the workshops focused on recognizing stress behaviors and communication styles using the PCM model. I learned that people respond to stress in different ways and that each personality type has its own communication style and need for appreciation. These insights help not only in understanding others better, but also in recognizing my own signs of overload at an earlier stage.

Another important theme was setting boundaries. As a caregiver, it is essential to take good care of others while also taking care of yourself. The workshop provided practical tools to maintain balance and build resilience.

It was wonderful to exchange experiences with fellow caregivers. The conversations, workshops, and inspiring materials provided me with new insights and practical takeaways that I can apply in everyday life. With books such as Small Happiness for the Caregiver, Discover PCM, and True Leaders Connect, along with the magazine Mantelkracht and information about resilience and compassion, I look back on a meaningful and enriching day.

We ended the day with music preformed bij Gerard Alderliefste and some drinks and snacks.

Many thanks to MantelzorgNL for organizing this wonderful event.
