Time moves fast… and somehow, February just flew by.
It began with something we had been hoping for.
Good news.
The service dog was approved.
One message—and everything shifted. A step towards more independence for Codee, and a little less weight on my shoulders. Now comes the waiting. Waiting for the right match. Exciting… but also testing patience in its own way.
In the weeks that followed, things slowed down again.
There were conversations, reflections, and new steps forward. With the support of Bartiméus, a path started to take shape—not just focused on practical skills, but on confidence, growth, and finding strength from within.
And in between all of that… small, lighter moments.
An afternoon out. Time for myself. Just stepping away for a bit, surrounded by people who understand. Those moments matter more than they seem.
Then came a weekend that held both plans and uncertainty.
What started as something simple turned into pain—sudden, unexpected, limiting. And yet, the day didn’t stop. With support, patience, and a bit of determination, it slowly turned around. A concert in the evening, music filling the space, and for a moment… everything else faded.
That’s the balance of these days.
Adapting. Adjusting. Continuing anyway.
The final week brought its own challenges.
Storms, rising water, a house that suddenly asks for attention in ways you didn’t plan for. And at the same time, care doesn’t pause—a visit to the vet, worry for something small but important, and the quiet relief when things begin to improve again.
And through it all, life keeps moving.
Recovery. A cold that lingers. Energy that comes and goes. But also resilience—choosing to keep going, even when things aren’t easy.
And then, a moment to pause again.
To look back.
To realise how much has been carried, adjusted, handled.
This month wasn’t steady—but it was real.
Full of contrast.
Good news and setbacks.
Movement and stillness.
And maybe that’s what makes it meaningful.
Because even in the middle of it all… you keep finding your way forward.
Always. 🤍
