Last week, I walked the route from Petra, Lesbos to Molyvos, Lesbos via the main road. Without a doubt, this is one of the most beautiful walks I’ve ever done on Lesbos.
The path winds through olive groves, past hidden bays, and offers constant views of the endless blue Aegean Sea.
From the very beginning—when I left Petra with the rock church of Panagia Glykofilousa behind me—it felt like stepping into a postcard.
Along the way, I stopped several times to take photos. I spotted different birds, including a falcon and a bee-eater, which made the walk even more special.
And then, suddenly, there it is.
Molyvos, with its castle high on the hill. From the last bend in the road, I had a perfect view—one of those moments where you just have to stop and take it all in (and of course, take a photo).
After almost two hours of walking, I arrived in Molyvos. Tired, warm, but completely satisfied. I dropped down onto a terrace overlooking the sea, taking a moment to enjoy everything I had just experienced. 🌿📸
