On September 30, Zwolle was on the agenda. From the station, we walked towards the Sassenpoort, making a small detour past Museum de Fundatie — and yes, we definitely went inside — to soak up a bit more of the city’s atmosphere.

After that, we enjoyed a lovely lunch at In den Hoofdwacht, right in the historic heart of the city. Then we accompanied Codee to her appointment in Zwolle.

While she was busy, her father (who had come over from England for the week) and I took the time to explore the new pedestrian bridge over the railway. A beautiful viewpoint, but also a quiet moment for good conversation — the kind that doesn’t need rushing.

Photography, on days like this, becomes something subtle. Not just capturing places, but holding on to small, meaningful moments — a shared look, a pause, the light on the city.

Afterwards, we met up again at the station, where we sat together in the waiting area and enjoyed a coffee from Starbucks — a small break from the busyness, just being together.

I’m glad I could give these two a small moment to enjoy, even though their thoughts were often elsewhere because of the circumstances. 💛☕🚶‍♀️🌉
