Sometimes it’s wonderful to have an afternoon with no plans at all. Just going, seeing where you end up, and enjoying whatever comes your way. That was exactly the idea during our afternoon in Utrecht.

We started off slowly with lunch at Paviljoen de Dom. Sitting down, enjoying some good food, and simply watching people pass by. The gentle buzz of the city around us made it the perfect, relaxed start to the afternoon.

After that, we wandered through the streets without any real direction. No rush, no checklist — just walking, looking, and occasionally taking a photo. With my iPhone, of course, because sometimes the best moments are the spontaneous ones.

Along the way, we came across a few lovely little shops. Naturally, we couldn’t resist stepping inside. In the end, we headed home with a few great T-shirts, some delicious Lindt chocolate, and a couple of small souvenirs to remember this cosy afternoon.

It was one of those days where nothing is required and everything is allowed. Simply enjoying the city, the atmosphere, and each other’s company.

Sometimes, those are exactly the days that stay with you the longest.
